1 Definitions

is referred to as FD.COM in the terms and conditions.

Applicant A candidate that applies for a vacacny advertised on the site.
Client Any person using, and purchasing services(or using a free trial), where a person includes but is not limited to, Direct Employers, Recruitment Agencies and Advertising Agencies.
Candidate A person who uses the site for purposes of employment or networking.
Conditions These standard terms and conditions.
User A candidate that completes a brief user details form outlined in Add User.
Profile CV A publically accessible advert, submitted by users. Containing and advert of Profile CV Details and of Positions Wanted.
CV A full CV of work and education history.
Standard Networks A list of standard networks setup on the site for users o join,
Custom Networks A list of Custom Networks. Custom networks are suggested by Network Sponsors.
Inbox Mail An internal mail box of messages from other site users.
Sent Mail A sent mailbox of messages sent to other users
Message Boards The Message Boards contain the messages for each of the networks. Users may access the "Message Board" messages for each of the networks they have joined.

2 Introduction

FD.COM online website is committed to protecting the privacy of our users. We want to provide a safe and secure user experience. We will use our best efforts to ensure that the information you submit to the site remains private, and is only used for the purposes set out in this policy.

3 Aggregate Information about FD online visitors

We gather information and statistics collectively about all visitors to this website, which area users access most frequently and which services users access the most. We only use such data in the aggregate form. This information helps us determine what is most beneficial for our users and how we can continually improve our online services to create a better overall experience for our users.

4 Jobs Newsletter

To utilise the Jobs Newsletter service you will be required to provide us with your e-mail address. You may optionally also indicate the regions that you have a preference to receive Jobs details on a more specified basis. Any details submitted apart from the email address will be used in future to target the users more successfully in terms of Jobs of interest.

Should any user wish to no longer receive any email newsletter or be deleted from our database records then they should select the “contact” option. See Home Page for details.

4 Positions Wanted / Add CV

The site allows users the opportunity to submit a “Positions Wanted” or “Add CV” to the site. The intention of this utility is to allow users to post a Post ions wanted section on the site.

You can update your CV at any time, simply by logging on using your email address and password you originally submitted. If you forget your password there is an option to have your password emailed directly to the relevant username(email address)

If you wish to delete you CV at any time you may do this by logging onto the site in the normal manner, alternatively you can request a deletion by emailing requesting on the "Contact" section of the Home Page.

5 Info Collected and How Used

Your personal details, including your name, e-mail address and resume, are held and used by us for the following purposes:
a) For potentially extending the outbound emailing capabilities of FD.COM to match specific job posting to the site.
b) For keeping you informed of FD.COM services, news and wider developments in the finance field.
c) May in future be used for tailoring the version of the FD.COM website you see when you log on to make it relevant to you.

If in future FD.COM is ever merged or acquired by another business, we may share the information that relates to you with the new owners of the business and their advisers. You will be sent notice of such an event. Other than in these circumstances, we do not and will not disclose your information to third parties without your consent.

We may also release information relating to you to regulatory or law enforcement authorities, if required to do so. We also reserve the right to disclose the information we have collected about you to our professional advisors and to other persons to the extent that FD.COM may in future wish to contract out any aspect of its operations & services. These third parties will be acting under similar undertakings of confidentiality as FD.COM.

6 Changes to Policy

This privacy policy may be changed by FD.COM at any time. If we change our privacy policy in the future, we will set out those changes here, so that you will always know what personal information we gather, the purposes we might use it for and to whom we might disclose it. 7 Statistical Information

We provide aggregate statistical information about site visitors and users to recruiters (such as the number of CV's on the database, or the number of visitors to the site) and for other lawful purposes. We provide this information to customers, advertisers, suppliers and other reputable third parties. This will not include any information that enables them to identify individuals.

8 Use of Cookies

Cookies are utilised on the site. Cookies are currently utilised to offer remember username and password options for users. Cookies are also utilised to improve the user experience.

9 The Data Protection Act 1998

The information that you give us, including your profile CV and e-mail address, is termed "personal data" under the Data Protection Act 1998. We must therefore follow the principles set out in that Act when we process your personal data. All the personal data that we obtain from you is held on our central online database. Chris Carr at Finance Director .com Limited is the "data controller" for the purposes of the Data Protection Act.
