Production of Daily Prime Brokerage P&L
Calculating the profit and loss arising from Prime Brokerage activity and confirming this information with the front office.

Production of Monthly Prime Brokerage P&L
Confirm and validate the monthly P&L in the general ledger, making necessary accruals and performing analysis of any unusual items.

Reconciliation of Daily P&L to Monthly P&L
Reconciliations will need to be performed between front office systems and back office systems to ensure that P&L has been reported accurately.
Liaise with Operations over reconciliation issues in the front to back process.

Balance Sheet Reconciliations
On a monthly basis, all relevant balance sheet accounts need to be reconciled. Any issues arising from these reconciliations need to be addressed and escalated in case of any potential misreporting.

Ensure appropriate accounting treatment
Due to the wide range of products and services offered by the Prime Brokerage business line, close liaison with our Financial Reporting team is essential to ensure we are correctly accounting for these, and adhering to the relevant standards.

Supervision of Equities and Clearing Product Control
Ensuring that the product controllers in these business lines are satisfactorily performing the above duties for their areas, assisting with issues, and escalating where necessary.
